Framing Analysis
A rapid study by the World Weather Attribution group found that Europe's June heat wave, with temperatures above 40°C affecting millions in France, Italy, Spain, and the UK, would have been virtually impossible without human-caused climate change. Similar events are now up to 200 times more likely than two decades ago, and past events were approximately 3.5°C cooler. Nearly half of 850 analyzed European cities reached or approached record heat-stress levels.
