The United Arab Emirates has transferred Daniel Kinahan, 49, to Irish authorities via an Air Corps flight following a Dubai court ruling under the Ireland-UAE extradition treaty. Kinahan, named by U.S. authorities in 2022 as a leader of the Kinahan Organised Crime Group, faces an expected charge of directing organised crime in Dublin. He had lived openly in Dubai for ten years prior to the handover, which marks the first use of the permanent treaty.
