Illinois State Police arrested two teenagers, ages 15 and 16, on the morning of July 12 in connection with a shooting in East St. Louis that killed five people and seriously injured two others. The victims were identified as Cherie L. May, Devin D. May, Patricia A. May, Quentin L. Thompson, and Shania W. Thompson. As of the evening of July 12, the suspects had not been formally charged.
