Todd Blanche was confirmed by the Senate early Saturday and sworn in as attorney general at the White House on Monday, with the oath administered by Judge Emil Bove. Blanche had served as acting attorney general since April following Pam Bondi's removal and as deputy attorney general prior to that. He was formally nominated in June and testified that month that the Justice Department's $1.8 billion anti-weaponization fund was dead, though the fund remains in place according to department records.
