The Supreme Court on August 24 lifted a lower-court injunction against a March executive order directing creation of a citizenship-based voter list for mail-in ballots. Democratic officials from 23 states and D.C. had sued; the US Postal Service began implementation planning last week ahead of November midterms. The 6-3 ruling drew dissents from the three liberal justices.
