Leon Black, co-founder and former chief executive of Apollo Global Management, appeared before the House Oversight Committee for a closed-door deposition as the 16th witness in its Epstein investigation. Black has stated that he paid Epstein $158 million for legitimate networking and tax services and was unaware of Epstein's criminal activity until 2019. The committee is chaired by Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.).
