Framing Analysis
Hezbollah deputy leader Naim Qassem rejected a U.S.-brokered security framework between Lebanon and Israel on June 27, describing it as a surrender and declaring it null and void. The framework, signed the previous day, includes phased Israeli withdrawal from parts of southern Lebanon and Lebanese army deployment, while permitting an expanded Israeli security zone. An Israeli drone strike occurred in Nabatieh al-Fawqa the following day, and protests were reported in Beirut.
