Henry Nowak, an 18-year-old student, was stabbed and killed in the Portswood area of Southampton by 23-year-old Vickrum Digwa. Digwa received a life sentence with a 21-year minimum after falsely claiming to police that he was the victim of a racist attack. Protests near the murder site injured 11 officers, and Hampshire Police issued an apology after bodycam footage showed Nowak being handcuffed post-stabbing.
