A glacier collapse caused flash floods along the Bhotekoshi River on Wednesday, producing a combined death toll of 750 across Nepal and China's Tibet region with more than 3,000 people missing. Nepal recorded 734 deaths and 2,498 missing while the Tibet region recorded 16 deaths and 546 unaccounted for; 93,000 people in Nepal were affected. Mobile flood alerts were issued Sunday morning after Chinese authorities notified Nepali counterparts of upstream water increases.
