Malcolm Phillips, 93, who managed Skircoat Lodge children's home in Halifax, was found to have committed sexual and physical offences against six children between 1976 and 1994 after a trial of facts. Linda Brunning, 67, was convicted of related offences from the 1980s and 1990s and sentenced to 25 years in prison. Phillips received an absolute discharge due to unfitness to stand trial.
