Framing Analysis
A randomized trial of 500 patients found that the daily pill daraxonrasib reduced death risk by 60 percent and extended median survival to 13.2 months versus 6.7 months with chemotherapy in metastatic pancreatic cancer after prior treatment. The results were published in the New England Journal of Medicine and presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology meeting. Dr. Zev Wainberg of UCLA helped lead the study targeting the KRAS mutation present in over 90 percent of cases.
