Apple announced revisions to its EU App Store fees and rules on Tuesday, replacing the prior per-install Core Technology Fee with a 5% commission for apps using third-party stores or the web. The updated structure sets commissions at 26% for full App Store and in-app purchase use, 20% for developer-managed payments, and 15% for web link-outs, with changes taking effect October 1. These adjustments follow a €500 million fine for DMA noncompliance last year.
