Moderna and Merck announced that their personalized mRNA vaccine met primary and secondary endpoints in a Phase 3 trial for Stage IIB-IV melanoma after surgical tumor removal. The vaccine, often combined with Keytruda, showed reduced recurrence and metastasis risk in earlier phases, with full data expected later this year. Approximately 112,000 Americans are diagnosed with melanoma annually and 8,500 die from it.
