A World Weather Attribution analysis reported that human-caused climate change was the main driver of record sea temperatures around Europe in July, with the Mediterranean averaging 27°C. Peak temperatures in multiple basins would have been virtually impossible without 1.4–2°C of added warming. The study was based on data from Straits Times reporting.
