A White House report released on August 13 identifies more than 40 countries linked to elevated illegal transshipment risks and states that foreign countries reroute as much as $75 billion in goods annually to evade U.S. tariffs. The administration, through an executive order, is directing Customs and Border Protection to develop an AI-enabled detection system.
