Jamieson Greer, US trade envoy, stated on July 21 that new tariffs targeting alleged forced-labor failures in 60 trading partners would be implemented soon. The measures, ranging from 10% to 12.5%, would replace the expiring temporary 10% global duty imposed earlier by President Trump and follow a Supreme Court ruling that invalidated prior tariffs. Targets include the EU, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan, Brazil, and Canada.
