The US administration has proposed additional tariffs under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 on imports from 60 trading partners accused of failing to address forced labor. The measures, which are not yet in effect, include 10% duties on the EU, Mexico, and Canada, with a public hearing scheduled for July 2026. The Supreme Court previously limited broader tariff authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act in February.
