UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will travel to Cyprus from July 27 to 29 to meet Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot leaders plus other stakeholders. The visit focuses on efforts to advance the peace process and support stability through UNFICYP. Cyprus has remained divided since 1974 following a Greek-backed coup and Turkish invasion after the collapse of its 1960 power-sharing arrangement.
