The UN human rights office warned on July 29 of settler violence in the West Bank, citing UN figures of 18 Palestinian deaths this year from such incidents compared with 17 in 2025. Four Palestinians and two Israeli soldiers were killed near the village of Tal in a clash the prior Friday. The Palestinian Authority reported at least 20 deaths since the start of the year.
