Framing Analysis
Al Jazeera reported that Ukrainian forces struck 19 Russian tankers, one cargo ship, and one ferry between July 6 and 8, including nine tankers on July 7, along with the Omsk refinery located 2,500 km inside Russia. Ukrainian spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk stated that Russia had shifted to sea routes for fuel supplies to Crimea after losing overland access. Separate claims from the New York Post about a dozen tankers struck overnight remain unverified.
