Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office announced an investigation into senior officials in President Volodymyr Zelensky’s office and an alleged criminal organization involving sitting and former lawmakers. The announcement came one day after former defense minister Mykhailo Fedorov, who was dismissed last month, publicly called for national elections citing a governance crisis. The war with Russia has entered its fifth year under martial law that bars elections.
