A one-off meningitis B vaccination programme will begin in late July targeting final-year secondary pupils and first-time entrants aged 18-25 to university or residential further education in England, Wales and Scotland. The programme follows outbreaks in Kent, Dorset and Berkshire that resulted in three deaths, including that of 18-year-old Aaron Mills. Bexsero will be administered in two doses at least 28 days apart.
