The project includes four new concourses, an extended underground aerotrain replacing mobile lounges, moving sidewalks, relocated parking, and preservation of the historic main terminal, with costs shared among taxpayers, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, and airlines. United Airlines operates most flights from an outdated terminal at the facility.
