President Trump endorsed a GOP primary opponent to Sen. John Cornyn while stating he wants acting Attorney General Todd Blanche confirmed immediately. Cornyn has conditioned support on written nullification of a proposed $1.776 billion Anti-Weaponization Fund tied to settlement of Trump's $10 billion IRS lawsuit. Blanche testified the fund would not advance following bipartisan congressional opposition.
