Federal records show the Trump administration has located at least 146,000 unaccompanied minors previously processed between fiscal years 2019 and 2023. More than 448,000 minors were transferred to HHS sponsors during that period, with 291,000 never issued court notices and 32,000 failing to appear. The DOJ is examining 15,500 cases involving alleged fraudulent sponsors.
