Three named Red Cross volunteers died of Bundibugyo Ebola in Mongbwalu between 5 and 16 May after contracting the virus on 27 March while working on a non-Ebola project. The outbreak, centered in Ituri, has produced 750 suspected cases and more than 170 suspected deaths. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus assessed regional risk as high and global risk as low.
