Tennessee National Guard members assigned to the Memphis Safe Task Force fatally shot 20-year-old Tyrin Johnson in the early morning hours after July 4 in Memphis. Johnson was armed, and an autopsy found a single bullet entered the right side of his back and exited through his upper right chest. Authorities stated Johnson turned toward the troops while running, while the physical evidence shows a rear entry wound.
