Taiwanese government networks experienced 12 waves of AI-driven attacks over four days last month, according to reporting in the Taipei Times. The campaign is described as using open-source tools and is believed to be linked to actors in China, amid a reported daily average of 2.6 million cyberbreaches from that country. Researchers at Dream Security were the first to detect the activity, which involved communications in simplified Chinese.
