The U.S. Supreme Court ruled 6-3 to clear the way for former Army Spc. Winston Hencely's state-law lawsuit against Fluor Corporation to continue, following injuries he sustained while stopping a suicide bomber at Bagram Airfield in 2016. The decision rejects Fluor's claim of immunity for wartime government work and remands the case for further proceedings. Five people were killed and more than a dozen wounded in the attack, which an Army investigation attributed in part to Fluor's supervisory failures.
