Summer McIntosh of Canada won the women's 400m individual medley at the Pan Pacific Championships in Irvine, California, with a time of 4:28.01 that broke the previous record. She finished ahead of Jenna Forrester in 4:31.50 and Agostina Hein in 4:32.54. McIntosh, a three-time Olympic gold medallist, had placed second in the 200m freestyle the previous day.
