The Strait of Hormuz standoff has entered its fourth month following U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran that began February 28. Iran closed the strait and began charging ships up to $2 million for passage while the United States maintains a naval embargo on Iranian oil exports. More than 20,000 sailors remain on approximately 2,000 vessels in the Gulf region.
