Framing Analysis
A Spanish court has ordered Begoña Gómez, wife of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, to stand trial by jury on charges of embezzlement, influence peddling, corruption in business dealings, and misappropriation of funds. The court also imposed a travel ban, required surrender of her passport, and mandated twice-monthly court appearances.
