A Seoul Central District Court sentenced former President Yoon Suk Yeol to 30 years in prison after convicting him of abuse of power and aiding the enemy in connection with drone flights into North Korea. Yoon had previously received a life sentence in February for insurrection and was removed from office in April 2025. Prosecutors alleged the operation aimed to create a pretext for martial law, a claim Yoon denied.
