South Korea's KOSPI closed down 910.71 points, or 9.99 percent, at 8,203.84 on June 23 after hitting an intraday high of 9,175.45. The KRX activated a circuit breaker following an 8 percent decline, with foreign and institutional investors recording net sales of 8.68 trillion won while retail investors purchased 8.58 trillion won. Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix each declined more than 12 percent.
