Heads of soccer federations from Morocco, Qatar, Egypt, Mauritania, Lebanon and Sudan issued statements of support for FIFA President Gianni Infantino on Thursday after he withdrew a $20 billion proposal to sell private equity stakes in the World Cup. Four of the six signatories serve on the FIFA Council. Patrice Motsepe separately stated that any decision on Infantino's tenure should occur through an election.
