Sen. Elizabeth Warren sent letters to seven major companies requesting data on refunds of duties paid under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. The Supreme Court ruled in February that the tariffs exceeded presidential authority, and the U.S. government has since refunded more than $100 billion to businesses. Warren urged the firms to pass savings to consumers who faced higher prices.
