A Senate panel voted on Thursday to recommend holding Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress. The action follows more than five years of tension with Sen. Rand Paul over COVID-19 origins and gain-of-function research funding. Fauci recently invoked the Fifth Amendment before the Senate Homeland Security Committee.
