The Senate Judiciary Committee approved Todd Blanche, Donald Trump's former personal lawyer, by a 12-10 party-line vote on Tuesday for a senior Justice Department position. Blanche previously served as acting attorney general and formally eliminated a $1.8 billion fund created from a Trump-IRS settlement. Senators John Cornyn and Thom Tillis had delayed the vote for one week.
