Framing Analysis
Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee, led by Sen. Ron Wyden, released a report examining the handling of Jeffrey Epstein's accounts by JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, and Deutsche Bank. The report, based on Treasury reports, internal bank records, and legal filings, states that bankers were aware of suspicious transactions as early as 2002 but did not file required reports until after Epstein's 2019 arrest. It alleges possible violations of the Bank Secrecy Act.
