Sen. Rand Paul, chair of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, subpoenaed former NIAID Director Anthony Fauci to appear before the committee. Paul also released more than 1,000 pages of Fauci's personal diary entries covering December 2019 to December 2022. Fauci previously testified before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic on June 3, 2024.
