Framing Analysis
Sajjan Kumar, a three-time Lok Sabha MP from Outer Delhi, died on August 20 at Safdarjung Hospital while serving a life sentence at Tihar Jail for convictions related to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. He was convicted in 2018 for the killings of five Sikhs and burning of a gurdwara, and received an additional life sentence in February 2025 for two further killings.
