UK Defence Ministry reported that Russian Su-27 and Su-35 aircraft conducted repeated close approaches to a British Rivet Joint surveillance plane operating in international airspace over the Black Sea. The encounters included a pass within six meters and one that activated the aircraft's emergency systems. Defence Secretary John Healey described the actions as dangerous and the most serious since a 2022 missile incident.
