World Rugby, the Rugby Football Union, and the Welsh Rugby Union moved in London's High Court on July 22 to dismiss claims from nearly 380 of roughly 800 former amateur and professional players who filed suits beginning in 2022 alleging concussion-related injuries. Parallel dismissal applications were filed by the Rugby Football League and British Amateur Rugby League Association covering about 130 cases. RFU counsel Neil Block told the court that document production orders had not been met and stated that enough is enough.
