Qatar transferred a modified Boeing 747-8 valued at $400 million to the Pentagon in 2025 for use as an interim presidential aircraft. Trump first flew on the jet on July 1 after pledging in May 2025 that it would eventually transfer to his presidential library foundation. A White House official and Eric Trump later stated that no final decision has been made and an older aircraft may instead go to the Miami library.
