The defense, represented by Kevin Reddington, maintains Clancy suffered from postpartum psychosis and bipolar disorder and requested a mistrial after a prosecution witness referenced Catholic concepts of mortal sin. The judge denied the mistrial motion, and closing arguments are scheduled for this week.
