A study by researchers from Rutgers University, the Manhattan Institute, and the Network Contagion Research Institute, commissioned by the Department of Health and Human Services, surveyed 1,208 U.S. adults and reported positive associations between a Clinical Gender Affirmation Scale and both left-wing authoritarianism and justification of political violence in six scenarios. The associations held after controlling for political identity and age. All source material originates from two right-leaning outlets, limiting perspective coverage.
