Framing Analysis
Keiko Fujimori leads Roberto Sanchez 50.48 percent to 49.52 percent after more than 90 percent of ballots are counted in Peru's presidential runoff, a margin of fewer than 200,000 votes. The contest marks the selection of Peru's ninth president in a decade. Fujimori is the conservative candidate and daughter of former president Alberto Fujimori, while Sanchez is the leftist candidate and ally of jailed former president Pedro Castillo.
