The Obama Presidential Center on Chicago's South Side will open to the public on Friday following a dedication on Thursday, after nearly a decade of planning. A nearby café on 61st Street has begun stocking supplies in anticipation of thousands of visitors for events including a concert with Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Wonder. The center features a public library branch, basketball court, and barbecue grills.
