Nithya Raman, a sitting Los Angeles City Council member, moved ahead of reality-television personality Spencer Pratt by roughly 0.4 percentage points in the latest tally of a city council primary, with 83.2 percent of expected votes counted. Pratt had led by more than nine points on election night before a net swing of over 43,000 votes shifted the margin. The race remains uncalled pending further ballot processing through June 9 and final certification by July 10.
