A New Mexico state court ordered Meta to pay $567 million after a jury found violations of consumer protection law and creation of a public nuisance. Judge Bryan Biedscheid issued the August 6 ruling in a suit brought by Attorney General Raúl Torrez. Meta stated it will appeal the decision that also requires five years of youth safety measures.
